Ultimate Team – #3 and #12
According to ESPN the New Orleans Hornets are #12 overall franchise of the Big Four leagues (NBA, MLB, NFL, & NHL) and the #3 overall team in the NBA!
ESPN The Magazine’s 7th Annual Ultimate Standings measure how these franchises give back to the fans in exchange for all the time, money and emotion the fans invest in them.
While we would all like to see the Hornets climb even higher in those rankings, out of 122 and 30 respectively, 12 and 3 ain’t too shabby. A big emphasis on these rankings is evaluated based on nearly impossible to measure metric of relationship between fan and organization. I have to say, I think this says a lot about New Orleans and the type of people it is home to. The Saints also finished in the top-half of the NFL and fifty-second overall.
