Diogu Deal Done
Days after the deal that saw Chandler sent to the Hornets’ old home city, Charlotte, for Emeka Okafor, New Orleans has added further depth by signing free-agent forward Ike Diogu.
Diogu is a good move for Nola as he comes onboard for a nominal charge and has yet to still improving as a player. He saw limited playing time last season for the Trail Blazers and Kings appearing in only 29 games. Despite that, the twenty-five year-old had several productive spells.
Hornets General Manager Jeff Bower had the following to say about Diogu:
“We’re excited to have Ike join our team and expect him to help the frontline off the bench this season. He has shown a lot of potential as an inside scorer and as an effective rebounder.”
