Charlotte Bobcats Vs LA Clippers: Game 21 Preview

The Charlotte Bobcats will take on the Los Angeles Clippers tonight in a game that features two teams on two very different recent paths.

The Bobcats are tumbling. The Clippers are surging.

At 15-6, LA sits atop the NBA’s Pacific division and hasn’t lost a game since November 26.

The team is led by superstar Blake Griffin, who’s averaging 18.1 points and 9.1 rebounds, as well as one of the top point guards in the league, Chris Paul. Paul’s averaging 16 points, nine assists and almost three steals per game.

One of the bright spots this year for the Bobcats has been the guy Paul will go up against tonight, Kemba Walker.

The second year guard out of UCONN leads Charlotte in scoring with over 17 points per game, assists with 6.1 per game, and steals with two per game.

That’s one matchup that will go a long way toward determining if the Bobcats can get out of the doldrums tonight. Another is between bench scorers Ben Gordon of the ‘Cats and Jamal Crawford of the Clippers.

Gordon is scoring just over 14 points per contest off the bench to go along with 2.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds. Crawford is scoring 17.5 points off the pine for LA.

The game tips off at 7:30 tonight in the Cable Box.
