Charlotte Bobcats fall to the Atlanta Hawks: Game 42 Recap

The Bobcats dropped Wednesday nights game to the Atlanta Hawks 104-92. The Bobcats never really made a run in this game, and trailed throughout.

This was the final meeting between these two teams this season, and the Hawks gave the Bobcats something to think about until next season.

For the Hawks, Josh Smith went insane. Smith had 30 points, 8 assists, and 13 rebounds. Smith played nearly flawless basketball shooting 15 of 24 from the field.

Kyle Korver was also on fire tonight. Korver was 5 of 6 from three point land, and finished with 21 points on the night.

The Hawks finished the night 12 of 25 overall from behind the three point arc.

For the Bobcats, Ramon Sessions set the pace with 27 points and only one turnover. Ben Gordon also had a decent game with 15 points off the bench.

However, Kemba Walker did not play well enough to lead the team to victory, and only scored 11 points. Walker was going to need to have a big game for the Bobcats to have a chance, and he just could never get it going.

The real difference in this game was not rebounding or turnovers, but the fact that the Hawks shot nearly 50 percent from the field.

The Bobcats once again struggled to play solid defense, and failed to hold the Hawks under 100 points. This has been the recipe for a Bobcats loss this season, and the trend continued on Wednesday night.

The Bobcats return to action Saturday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
