Charlotte Bobcats at the San Antonio Spurs: Game 45 Preview

Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, and Tim Duncan have been the faces of the San Antonio Spurs for years. The Bobcats will not have to deal with Duncan tonight as he is out tonight with a knee injury, but nonetheless Parker and Ginobili present a big challenge even without Duncan in the lineup.

The Bobcats will travel to San Antonio to take on one of the best home teams in the league. The Spurs are 20-2 at home this year, and its pretty safe to say the Bobcats are not exactly a great road team.

Tony Parker has been a beast in Duncan’s absence. In Parker’s last three games he has put up 31, 23, and 24 points. Parker has so much confidence right now, and is playing the game at his pace. It will be imperative that the Bobcats try to speed him up and force some mistakes.

Manu Ginobili is coming off a 20 point game against the Phoenix Suns, but he is also just returning from injury.

The reason the Spurs are so successful even with key players injured is they play excellent defense. The Spurs only give up 96 ppg, which is good for 9th in the league.

For the Bobcats, Ramon Sessions is coming off a terrible game versus the Bulls. Sessions was 2-9 shooting for only 7 points.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist also struggled only scoring 6 points. The Bobcats are going to need to have big games from both of these players tonight.

Lastly, the Bobcats need to up their shooting percentage. The Bobcats only shot 39 percent from the field against the Bulls. Also, the Bobcats must focus on their defense tonight the Spurs average over 104.4 ppg, and the Bobcats give up over 102 ppg.

The game tips off at 8:30 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
