Charlotte Bobcats get trampled by the Sacramento Kings: Game 59 Recap

Coaches always say you got to play all 48 minutes to win. On Sunday afternoon the Bobcats seemed to forget how to score and play defense during the middle two quarters. They only played about 24 minutes of good basketball.

The Kings outscored the Bobcats 70-32 during the 2nd and 3rd quarters. This honestly is an embarrassment to give up 70 points in two quarters.

For the Kings, John Salmons led the way pouring in 22 points. Salmons was aided by his teammates, especially Jason Thompson and Marcus Thornton who each added 18 points. Demarcus Cousins chipped in 14 points and nine rebounds.

For the Bobcats, 12 of 13 players scored but the problem was no player for the Bobcats scored over 12 points. In the NBA that just will not get it done, every team needs a player who will score 20 plus night in and night out.

Overall, the Bobcats lost big again because they continued to struggle to score while playing virtually no defense for two quarters. And in the NBA those two things will cause you to get blown out no matter who you are playing.

The Bobcats return to action tomorrow night against the Portland Trailblazers.
