Taylor, Henderson Lead Bobcats Past Cavaliers 105-92

Jeff Taylor scored 20 points and Gerald Henderson added 19 as the Charlotte Bobcats defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 105-92 Thursday night.

Kyrie Irving led the Cavaliers with 20 points and Earl Clark had 12.

The Bobcats improved defense allowed a team to score at least 90 points for the first time in preseason. Charlotte forced 18 turnovers, 10 of which were steals. They came into the game allowing below 83 points in exhibition play.

With injuries to some of the team’s veterans and recent roster cuts, Charlotte head coach Steve Clifford played just nine players. The Bobcats bench had 50 points with Taylor’s hot shooting leading the way.

Rookie Cody Zeller had 13 points and eight rebounds in 22 minutes.

The Bobcats improved to 4-3 in preseason. They’ll be in New York Friday for their final tuneup against the New York Knicks.
