Overview: Sacramento is the fourth highest scoring team for December and is averaging 106.3 points in their last six games. Despite a 7-15 start, Sacramento has an encouraging collection of young, athletic talent. DeMarcus Cousins and Isaiah Thomas are having career seasons under first-year coach Mike Malone. The addition of Rudy Gay has provided an extra bounce for the Kings; Gay is shooting over 50 percent from the field since his arrival. Sacramento has lost seven of their last 10.

Injuries: Carl Landry (hip)

CHARLOTTE BOBCATS (10-14)
Projected Lineup:

PG: Kemba Walker
SG: Gerald Henderson
SF: Jeff Taylor
PF: Josh McRoberts
C: Al Jefferson

Overview: Charlotte has also dropped seven of their last 10, but remains the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference. The Bobcats are averaging 91.4 points during that stretch and have struggled offensively during the current three-game skid. Despite their scoring troubles, Kemba Walker has improved his play this month. Walker is averaging 19.9 points and shooting 46 percent from the field in December. Walker could use some help from Al Jefferson, who’s only scoring 15.7 points in December on 41 percent from the field.

Injuries: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (left hand), Brendan Haywood (left foot)
