Bobcats Slip Past Bucks In OT

The Charlotte Bobcats (14-15) narrowly escaped Time Warner Cable Arena with a win over the Milwaukee Bucks (6-22) Monday.

Milwaukee trailed 111-108 with just over a second left in overtime when Bucks forward Khris Middleton hit what appeared to be a 3-pointer in the corner at the buzzer. Officials later reviewed the basket and determined Middleton stepped inside the 3-point line before his shot, giving the Bobcats a 111-110 victory.

Al Jefferson led Charlotte with 26 points and nine rebounds. Kemba Walker just missed a triple double with 25 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. Walker has now scored 20 or more points in six straight games to continue his stellar play in December.

Brandon Knight also came close to a triple double. Knight finished with 26 points, 14 assists and eight rebounds. Middleton scored 19 points and O.J. Mayo added 14 off the bench including the game-tying 3-pointer to force overtime.

John Henson returned to Milwaukee’s rotation to score 14 points and block a game-high six shots.

Charlotte came back from an 18-point first quarter deficit with four 3-pointers in the second quarter. The Bobcats shot a season high 58.8 percent from 3-point range. Anthony Tolliver, starting in place of Jeff Taylor (achilles), made all four of his 3-point attempts on the night.
