Analysis: The Bobcats are coming off another nice overtime win against the Milwaukee Bucks Monday. The Bobcats once again started off slow, but picked up the scoring late in the second quarter and carried the momentum into the second half.

The Bobcats big three of Walker, Jefferson and Henderson have been playing on a level that Charlotte fans haven’t seen from an NBA team since the Hornets reigned supreme.

Walker has been off the charts lately. In his last five games he is averaging over 26 points on 55 percent shooting from the field and 50 percent on 3-pointers.

Walker has also only played limited minutes against the Thunder (25 minutes) in their last two games, but only scored an average of 5.5 points on 16 percent shooting. If the Bobcats are going to win, Walker must score, especially with the lack of scoring at small forward with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Jeff Taylor out.

Jefferson is doing what is expected from one of the best big men in the NBA, putting up 20 points and 11 rebounds in his last five games.

The Bobcats will need to continue their hot scoring streak tonight and get out of the gates fast if they are going to stand a chance in their first match up against the Thunder.

Although the Bobcats will give the Thunder some problems with Jefferson’s low post scoring, they might not have an answer for Kevin Durant. Durant is the league’s current leading scorer and the Bobcats have no one on paper who can slow him down. Tolliver will get some help from Chris Douglas-Roberts and Josh McRoberts, but itmay be a tough night for the Bobcats defense.

It might be a stretch, but maybe the Bobcats can give a late Christmas gift to the Charlotte fans tonight in the Cable Box.
