Key Match Up:

Kemba Walker vs. John Wall-In their last match up neither Walker nor Wall had a very good game; they were a combined 10-38 from the floor, but Walker won the day with a big second half that helped the Bobcats seal a 100-94 victory. It’s a toss up to who’ll have the better game tonight, but considering the implications of the game and its repercussions on seeding, I’d expect the outcome to come down to who can lift his team late with the game on the line.

Analysis:

The Bobcats have won four games in a row for the second time this season and have a playoff berth already locked up, but tonight’s game against the Washington Wizards will still feel like playoff game for Charlotte as they try to pry the 6th seed away from the Wizards and get the opportunity to play the 3rd seeded Toronto Raptors.

The Bobcats are 2-1 against the Wizards this season and would pull into a tie with Washington if they win tonight. Charlotte would automatically win over the 6th seed as they would own the tie breaker over Washington with a 3-1 season record.

A win tonight could mean the difference between playing a very good Indiana Pacers team and playing a good but beatable Toronto Raptors squad who the Bobcats have swept in their season three game series.

Nene, who has been out for six weeks since spraining is knee is expected to return tonight for the Wizards in a limited role; while the Bobcats will get starter Josh McRoberts back after missing two games with a sprained ankle.
