Analysis:  The playoffs might as well start tonight because a lot is on the line for Charlotte as they seek to avoid an opening round series against the defending champion Miami Heat. Do to that, the Bobcats need to finally beat the Bulls for the first time in their four game season series. Their last match up was a bit of a heart breaker as the Bobcats kept it close down stretch, but lost 89-87 behind an outstanding performance from former Bobcat D.J. Augustine. The Bobcats advantage for tonight’s game rests on the fact that they now have a stronger back court to throw at the Bulls stingy defense. If Gary Neal can find his range and have a big night the Bobcats may be able to get over the hump that has allowed the Bulls to win 10 of 11 games against Charlotte in the last three seasons. But if the Bobcats don’t get back to their defensive roots and try to simply outscore the Bulls, the game may get out of hand and Chicago could send  Charlotte into their second playoff birth with a blowout. Not the way you want to start a playoff series.
