Swarm and Sting: Editor's Address

Hello, and welcome to Swarm and Sting! A Charlotte Hornets (yes, they’re back!) fan site.

My name is Reece Helms, and I am the new editor of Swarm and Sting. I will do my best to bring you up-to-date breaking news all things related to the Charlotte Hornets.

I hope you are as excited as I am about the return of the Hornets. The Bobcat days have finally came to an end, and its time for a new era in Charlotte basketball.

The Charlotte Bobcats ended their last season on a good note, with making the playoffs for the second time in the history of the Bobcats. Although they were swept both times they made the playoffs, they played 2 very good teams. Dwight Howard’s Orlando Magic team which went on to the NBA Finals that season, and this years Miami Heat team led by LeBron James.

Next season we can only expect bigger and brighter things to come. Not only with the name change to the Hornets, but it will be Al Jefferson’s second season in Charlotte, and another year to see Kemba Walker grow as a player. The team also has two 1st round picks in the upcoming NBA Draft (9th and 24th.)

Swarm and Sting will also be looking to add writers to the staff, if you are interested in writing for us you can apply here
