Charlotte Hornets hosting pre-draft workouts on Tuesday

With the NBA Draft quickly approaching, the Charlotte Hornets are hosting workout after workout to get a taste of who they might pick on draft night. The Hornets currently have the 9th overall pick, along with the 24th and 45th.

Here is a list of the prospects who will be working out with the Hornets on Tuesday, June 3rd:

  1. Justin Cobbs – California
  2. Langston Hall – Mercer
  3. Sean Kilpatrick – Cincinnati
  4. Ian Miller – Florida State
  5. Xavier Thames – San Diego State
  6. Scottie Wilbekin – Florida

These are players Charlotte might be considering with their 45th pick, as none of these guys are projected to go in the 1st round. None of them are big names, but they are all talented players.

Scottie Wilbekin is probably the biggest name of all of them. Scottie was the point guard for this years Florida team that went to the Final Four. He was a 4 year college player (you don’t see a lot of those) and he was a vocal leader for the Gators. He brought energy and intensity to the court, and that is just as valuable in the NBA as it is in college. Here’s one of Scottie’s highlights from the NCAA Tournament, nailing a buzzer beater to go into halftime.
