On Tuesday the Charlotte Hornets hosted the former Duke Blue Devil Rodney Hood for a pre-draft workout. Other notable players that were present at the workout were P.J. Hairston (UNC) and Elfrid Payton (Louisiana-Lafayette).
It was the second time that P.J. Hairston has worked out for the Hornets, as he seems to be a likely candidate for Charlotte’s 24th overall pick.
Rodney Hood though could be drafted with the 9th overall pick, as he will be gone by the time it’s Charlotte’s turn to pick 24th.
Hood didn’t help his case in today’s workouts, as he got sick during them and was unable to participate in the scrimmage:

Rodney Hood averaged 16 points per game in his only season at Duke. His season high for points came against East Carolina, when he scored 30 points. One of Hood’s worst games came against Mercer in the NCAA tournament, a game in which Duke lost. Sorry to remind you of that, Duke fans. In that game Hood only managed to score 6 points, and only made 2 of his 10 shots.
There have been rumors that the Los Angeles Lakers like Rodney Hood as well, which is something to watch out for, as they have the 7th overall pick in the NBA Draft.
Here is the scouting video on Rodney Hood:
