Team USA defeats Brazil; Derrick Rose shines

Team USA was able to defeat Brazil on Saturday night in the United Center by the score of 95 to 78.

It took a while for Team USA to get things going, as they went into the 4th quarter only winning by 5 points, by the score of 68 to 63.

Derrick Rose was the highlight of the game in my opinion. Every time he went in the game, or even touched the ball, the fans in Chicago gave Rose a loud ovation.

Late in the 4th quarter, the fans chanted “We want Rose!!” and as soon as everyone heard it, Coach K sent Derrick Rose to the scores table to check into the game. He was definitely the fan favorite, especially since he plays for the Chicago Bulls, and the fans haven’t really seen him play in a long time because of injury.

That’s why the fans were chanting Rose’s name. He is an exciting player, and hopefully this year he can avoid the injury bug and play a full season. If he can, that puts the Chicago Bulls in contention to win the Eastern Conference along with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
