Kevin Durant offered huge contract by Under Armour

Money is just being thrown around everywhere these days like it’s nothing.

The Los Angeles Clippers were recently sold for $2 billion dollars….2 BILLION. The CLIPPERS, not the Lakers. If the Clippers are worth $2 billion, then I’d love to see how much the Lakers are worth.

Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant is worth a lot of money too. Not quite $2 billion, but he’s still worth a lot of money, $265 million dollars to be exact.

Under Armour has offered Kevin Durant a 10 year contract, which will be worth between $265-285 million dollars. Your move, Nike:

Nike has the opportunity to match the offer. If they do, then Kevin Durant legally has to choose Nike, it won’t be his decision. Sound familiar Hornets fans? Charlotte had signed Gordon Hayward, but the Utah Jazz matched it. Which ended up not being a bad thing, because Charlotte went on to sign Lance Stephenson instead.

One interesting thing to note about Kevin Durant’s potential move to Under Armour is that UA’s headquarters are in Baltimore, Maryland, close to the Washington Wizards, his hometown team. There have been rumors that Kevin Durant is interested in joining the Wizards in 2016, when he becomes a free agent. His move to Under Armour only helps the Wizards’ chance of landing KD.
