It has been a great off-season for the Charlotte Hornets.
We all cannot wait until the first game of the season, which is a home game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The first home game of the new Charlotte Hornets, Time Warner Cable Arena will be LOUD that night, it will be a hard ticket to get.
The first game of the season is Wednesday, October 29th, which is under 60 days away, if you aren’t already counting down.
Personally I cannot wait to see Lance Stephenson in his first game in Charlotte. I think everyone is going to love him and the energy he brings on the court. If he can behave off of the court, he will be a great addition to the Hornets.
Speaking of behaving, that brings us to P.J. Hairston. P.J. has already gotten into trouble in his short tenure with the Charlotte Hornets, when he punched a high school basketball player in a pickup basketball game in Durham, NC.
If P.J. can stay out of trouble he has a bright future ahead of him.
Noah Vonleh also has a bright future. I feel he hasn’t gotten enough attention since Charlotte signed Lance Stephenson, but Vonleh will play an important role next year, especially after Josh McRoberts left for the Miami Heat. Cody Zeller or Marvin Williams will probably start, but Vonleh will play a lot of minutes off the bench to start the season.
Lance Stephenson, Al Jefferson, and Kemba Walker will be a great Big 3 to watch. If they can gel and get used to playing with each other quickly, it should be a successful year for the Charlotte Hornets.
