Buzz City Beat is Swarm and Sting’s one stop for the best articles from around the internet surrounding the Charlotte Hornets.

The Golden State Warriors overcame a 25-point deficit to beat the San Antonio Spurs and take a 1-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals. In this edition of Buzz City Beat, we look at who the Charlotte Hornets should draft, if the team deserves to win the lottery and Nicolas Batum gets an assist from his son.

Who should Charlotte Draft? iSportsWeb.com)

"This year’s draft has an abundance of talent and is one of the best draft classes in the last five years. Charlotte has several positions that need help and could use their selection on a number of different players. Here are four players at four different positions the Charlotte Hornets should think about drafting."

Malik Monk, Justin Jackson, John Collins and TJ Leaf are the four options listed in the article. They could all be viable options in the lottery but it will ultimately depend on where their pick ends up. Monk is the top prospect out of these players and he arguably fits best with the team but the Hornets can’t really go wrong with any of them.

If Malik is on the board when the Hornets’ select, he should automatically be the pick. If he’s not, then any of the other three players, along with Zach Collins, are all possibilities. They can’t afford to miss with this pick. After years of underwhelming drafts, Charlotte needs to get the right guy this time around if they plan on getting back to the playoffs.

Do the Hornets deserve to win the lottery? (CBSsports.com)

"They would have made the playoffs had they not gone 0-9 in games decided by three points or less. They have enough talent, and while winning the lottery would be a crazy story, adding Markelle Fultz or Lonzo Ball to this roster with Kemba Walker would be confusing. The Hornets are going to need a lottery win in a few years, but not now."

Matt Moore ranks Charlotte as the least deserving team to win the lottery this year. While that may be true for this season, I would argue that they deserve it after being passed over so many times in the past. After having the worst win percentage in NBA history in 2011-12, they failed to receive the top pick and ended up missing out on Anthony Davis.

That alone should be reason enough for them to at least get a top three pick this year. Although, the Hornets will be fine even if they don’t as they are one of the strongest teams that didn’t make the postseason. We will have to wait and see how the lottery plays out on May 16th.

Nic Batum gets an assist from his son (UPI.com)

"In the video, the 6-foot, 8-inch shooting guard stands to the side of Ayden Richard Batum’s cloth wagon. He calls for a pass from the youngster, receives the helper, then passes back to the baby boy. Ayden drops in a short bounce pass to dad, who proceeds to knock down a long jump shot from the right side of the hoop."

Cutest basketball video of the year goes to Nicolas and his baby boy. Ayden might have a future in basketball if he continues to perfect his craft with his dad. This also allows Batum to work on his game during the offseason.
