In less than a week 2K Sports will release their new addition to the popular basketball series, NBA 2K15. This year will have many new features, but one of the things most exciting for NBA fans is seeing the initial player ratings. The entire list of rankings for NBA 2K15 can be seen here.
The highest rated player(with a 98) is LeBron James. No surprise there. Rounding out the top five are Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Tim Duncan, and Steph Curry. This seems like a fair top 5, though at some point Duncan has to slow down. The biggest surprise in the top ten for me is Kobe Bryant at number eight, ahead of players such as Russell Westbrook, and James Harden.
Here are the list of Charlotte Hornets players with their ratings
87 Al Jefferson C
84 Lance Stephenson SG
82 Kemba Walker PG
78 Gerald Henderson SG
77 Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF
75 Gary Neal SG

Two things stick out to me. One, according to 2K we are a better team. The players we added(Lance, Williams, Roberts, Vonleh, and Hairston) on average are better than the ones we lost. Second, according to 2K we are a deeper team. We have three players in the 80s which is great but what sticks out to me are 10 players in the 70s. In the playoffs we really struggled when our starters came out. Cho has done a good job adding depth to our team while maintaining cap flexibility.
All I know is I can not wait to play as the 2014-2015 Hornets!
