Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

Game: October 29th Charlotte vs. Milwaukee 108-106

Stats: 17 points, 3 assists, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has battled injuries early this season, which has distracted from how well he has played when actually on the floor. He came out firing on opening night, finishing with 17 points, 3 assists, and 8 rebounds. MKG also showcased his usual spectacular defense by swatting 3 shots.

Kidd-Gilchrist was aggressive on offense all night, getting to the rim and finishing or getting fouled. He also showcased his new and improved jump-shot by hitting a pair of mid-range shots and making 5 of 6 free-throw attempts.

A healthy Michael Kidd-Gilchrist makes the Hornets a much more complete basketball team. They have no replacement that can match his aggressiveness on offense, and his lockdown defense. His health will be a huge factor in whether or not the Hornets turnaround their season and make a push for the playoffs.
