I love Big Al. I think I might be his biggest supporter. I am definitely driving that bandwagon. He has great post moves and can really settle down the offense when things start to get a little crazy. He fits perfectly into what head coach Steve Clifford and the Hornets want to do on offense.
But can he score 50?
He has scored 40 points in a game. In fact, he did it last year around this time. From 40, it is only a small jump up to 50. However, he would need to be healthy, something rare this year, and he would need the ball in his hands on nearly every possession.
It is definitely a possibility that he could hit 50 most years, but right now his knee will not let him play his best. In the future? Sure. This season? Not a chance, unfortunately.
