2. Mario Hezonja

Super Mario is being projected to go as high as fifth to Orlando, even though some mock drafts have the Spanish league player falling to the Hornets at number nine. However, given his potential to be a superstar player, the Hornets cannot just sit back and hope that he is still on the board when their turn comes.

A trade with the Knicks would assure the Charlotte Hornets of being able to grab Hezonja and position themselves for the future with the player who might have the highest upside in the entire 2015 draft class. Swarm and sting went over Hezonja’s strengths and weaknesses already, so we will not rehash them here, but one thing is certain, the Hornets and Hezonja are a perfect fit together.

Charlotte needs someone who can energize the fanbase and lift his teammates up. Hezonja’s hot shooting and propensity to make highlight reel plays is exactly what is needed. Call the Knicks, and unless the price is too high, make the deal.
