Nedim Buza is not exactly a household name here in the United States. The international player from Bosnia and Herzegovina has not been on the radar of the any but the most hardcore international basketball fan.

He is a 6’8″, 200lb small forward with a good handle and the ability to hit a three point shot, at least from the limited video I have seen and the small amount of available data.

More from Hornets News

He led Bosnia and Herzegovina to a gold medal in the FIBA Under-20 Championship – Division B. DraftExpress.com had this to say about Buza after his performance in the World Nike Hoops Summit:

"After struggling to shoot it consistently during the week leading up to the game, Buza knocked down both of his triples, one a step back off the dribble and another deep three of the spot up variety. Buza didn’t’ play at ton but gave the World Team size and shooting at the wing spot. He shoots it a bit flat but made it work on Saturday, which he’ll need to continue to do moving forward to give him a consistent skill to go along with his physical tools. Buza committed a bad turnover in traffic as his limited ball skills clearly showed. But given his size and potential as a shooter, Buza could hear his name called in the second round of the NBA Draft in the future."

Buza is a very raw prospect, but he has high potential for someone being picked this late in the draft. Maybe this pick will not excite Hornets’ fans, at least at first, but he is a solid second round prospect.
