The Charlotte Hornets will make their first home appearance on November 1st against the Atlanta Hawks. The Hornets fared pretty well against the Hawks last season going 2-2 against them. That is a win for Charlotte considering that the Hawks were the best team in the Eastern Conference last season, record wise, and they made it the Eastern Conference Finals.
This is yet another inter-divisional matchup for the Hornets. They start their season with three such games in a row. They will play the Hawks in Atlanta two days prior to this game. That one might force the outcome in this one. But if everything goes right for Charlotte they could take an early lead in their division and assert their dominance.
It will also be the city of Charlotte’s first time checking out the new and improved team with Batum, Lin, and Kaminsky, as well as other off-season acquisitions out on the floor in Time Warner Cable Arena.
