Kemba Walker recently confirmed that he has switched his shoe deal from Under Armour to Jordan Brand during his trip with the Charlotte Hornets to China. Kemba has been with Under Armour since the summer after he was drafted by the Charlotte franchise with the ninth overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft.
He signed a four-year deal with Under Armour after he was drafted and that deal has run out this off-season so Kemba Walker was a free agent in-terms of shoe deals. Any shoe company could sign him to a contract and with the owner of the Charlotte Hornets being Michael Jordan, the owner and founder of Jordan Brand, it isn’t surprising that Kemba signed with the brand.
Rick Bonnell announced on Twitter that Kemba has switched shoe brands:

It is reported that Kemba Walker got a strong pitch from Adidas this off-season to sign with them but he decided instead to sign with probably the most iconic basketball brand and player ever in the Jordan Brand. I am sure that Michael Jordan was a strong influence for Kemba to sign with his brand this summer.

This is a big signing for Kemba Walker and other numbers of his signing have not been announced yet. The only thing we know is that Kemba has confirmed the partnership. Maybe he will get his own signature shoe this season. We will just have to wait and see.
