3. Preseason Success Does Not Carry Over to the Regular Season.

The Charlotte Hornets got out to a fast start when they had their best preseason in team history by going 7-1 and looking very impressive while doing so. The team shot and made a lot of threes. They also got out in transition and held team’s to low field goal percentages.

Not saying that the Hornets can’t do these things this season but in the first game of the year Charlotte found it much more difficult to do the things that they did so well in the preseason against the same team they beat during the preseason.

It will be a difficult task going forward but the Charlotte Hornets can shoot threes and make them better than they did on opening night and they can improve their defense. Opening night is not indicative of the team going forward but with that being said, the Hornets will not likely have the same success that they did in the preseason.
