Jerry Stephens: After having had Jeremy Lamb sit on the bench for the most part of three season in OKC, are you surprised by his breakout season this year for the Charlotte Hornets?

David Ramil: Of course I’m surprised. While Lamb showed flashes during his tenure in Oklahoma City, it was his inability to remain consistent that really kept him from being much of a factor.

Questions about his talent and maturity level dogged him during his time here and there were reports that Durant and other veterans weren’t convinced about his work ethic and level of commitment.

But he was given an opportunity in Charlotte and he has absolutely made the most of it. It’s not hard to link him to Perry Jones, III, his former Thunder teammate, and realize how hard it is to predict what can happen. Both Lamb and Jones were traded this offseason and while Lamb has turned his chance with the Hornets into a lucrative contract, Jones finds himself struggling in the D-League.
