With MKG’s return to the Charlotte Hornets imminent, a few of us here at Swarm and Sting decided to answer a few questions surrounding the topic.
The Charlotte Hornets have recently announced that Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been cleared for full-contact practice. With his return set to be in the near future, many questions have come up about his effect on the team once he returns.
Let’s get this Round Table Discussion started with Jerry Stephens, Connor Penegar, and DeShawn White.
1. With MKG’s return to the Charlotte Hornets Line-up imminent, how do you believe that the team’s rotation will change once he does?
Jerry Stephens: I believe that MKG will slowly work his way back to the starting line-up after a few games off of the bench for the Charlotte Hornets. He will take his starting spot at small forward eventually. The starters will be Kemba, Batum, MKG, Marvin, and Zeller(until Big Al returns).
Connor Penegar: I agree that MKG will come into the starting lineup eventually and replace Hairston. MKG might not start his first game back, but he surely will start soon after. Walker, Batum, MKG, Williams, Zeller.
DeShawn White: I believe the rotations will even back out. Walker, Batum, Kidd-Gilchrist, Williams and Zeller as the first string and Lin, Lamb, Hairston, Kaminsky and Hawes as the second.
