5. Are you excited for Charlotte to hold the All-Star game next year? And how big of a deal will that be for the team?

Jerry Stephens:

I am very excited for the 2017 All-Star game to be held in Charlotte, North Carolina because it will be a spectacular event and weekend for the city and players as a whole. It will be a big deal for the team because it will bring attention to the city and the Hornets’ franchise. The media will be swarming and Charlotte will get some national attention.

DeShawn White:

I think every North Carolinian is excited about it. It’s been 25 years since it was last here, and with the upswing of Charlotte sports, the timing is almost perfect. With the success of the Panthers and the growing culture of the Hornets, it’s huge of the franchise. I can’t wait to see the sponsors and stars come to the Carolinas and see how special it is.

Connor Penegar:

We’ve all seen the growth in professional sports in the Carolinas over the past few years. North and South Carolina used to be purely college states, with the populace caring only about college teams. Now, the Hornets and the Panthers have united these two once divided states into one unified coalition to put the Carolinas on the map. With the All-Star Game in the crown jewel of the Carolinas, the people of these two great states will show the nation the amazing nature of this region. Charlotte is a fantastic, burgeoning city, and I can’t wait to see all of the celebrities roaming the streets of the QC. Also, I can’t wait for Steph to put on a show for his hometown people, and maybe give us a taste of what could come once he reaches free agency.
