3. Who is the Charlotte Hornets’ Sixth Man of the Year?

Jerry Stephens:

Jeremy Lin has to get the Sixth Man of the Year award for me. He averaged 11.7 points which led all Charlotte Hornets bench players this season. He also dished out 3.0 assists per game. His biggest impact came when the team needed him the most this year. He started a few games and won some games for the Hornets this season. Lin’s explosiveness, playmaking, and offensive ability off of the bench was a huge factor for Charlotte this year.

Deshawn White:

I can feel all the Jeremy Lin fans going full Daniel Bryan right now, but it’s ok because he’s earned it. Lin has contributed, created, and often taken over games for the Hornets. The co-leader of the second unit picked up steam early and brought just what the team needed. When he couldn’t dominate, he helped facilitate so that his teammates could shine. And that, in my opinion, is a quality Sixth-Man.

Connor Penegar:

Sixth Man has to go to Jeremy Lin. When he’s not posting on SnapChat, he is straight killing it on the court. Along with the theme of me making awful predictions, I thought that J-Lin was just a novelty hire by the Hornets front office. As is usually the case, I was wrong. Lin has been a spark off of the bench, and he can even come in and fill in for Nic Batum in the starting lineup. His versatility has been key for the Hornets, as he can play both point guard and shooting guard. Signing Nic Batum should be the first priority for the Hornets, but J-Lin should be second. He’ll be getting some looks from all around the league, and the front office should really try to keep Lin in the Queen City.
