The Charlotte Hornets will have multiple free agents this off-season but who are the most important ones that they need to re-sign this summer?

The Charlotte Hornets’ front office will have a lot of work to do this off-season as they will have multiple free agents to try to re-sign. The team and head coach, Steve Clifford, has already named Nicolas Batum their number one priority. But who else is the most important to re-sign on the team?

The list of potential free agents for the Charlotte Hornets includes Al Jefferson, Nicolas Batum, Jeremy Lin, Marvin Williams, Courtney Lee, Tyler Hansbrough, Troy Daniels, and Jorge Gutierrez. That is a long list with some big names. The team will have a lot of free cap space but it will still be difficult to re-sign everyone.

More from Swarm and Sting

We will rank the top five free agents for the Hornets heading into the off-season and their level of importance to the team going forward. Charlotte will be looking to build on an impressive season and the only way to do that is to keep their good players and get even better for next year.

The most important thing for the team will be trying to re-sign as many of their free agents as possible at a reasonable price. Many of them have expressed their interest in returning to the Hornets next season. All of them said that this past season was the most fun that they have ever had on a team.

Here is my list, starting with number five:
