2. Marvin Williams

Marvin Williams was the most consistent player on the Charlotte Hornets this past season. He was also the leader of the team. The veteran had a career year as he made hug improvements to his game on both ends of the floor.

Williams averaged 11.7 points per game and a team leading 6.4 rebounds per game this season. He also shot 45.2% from the field and 40.2% from the three-point line. He became the leader of Charlotte’s defense over the course of the season.

He vastly improved his three-point shooting ability and it has made him an all-around threat. Marvin has expressed that he wants to return to play under head coach, Steve Clifford, next season. He will be an important player for the team to re-sign because he allows them to play the style of play that they want to compete at.

It will be interesting to see how much Williams will cost the team this summer because there might be other teams out there that will offer him a bigger contract. His loyalty may be tested if the Hornets give him a smaller contract than he would get from other team around the league.
