Five Players That the Charlotte Hornets Could Draft
Diamond Stone C Maryland
Pros
Size and strength are two big pluses with Diamond Stone (did I mention size and strength). You can also add in a 7’3.5″ wingspan which is incredible from a 6’10 and 255 pound center. Stone can bully players in the paint when rebounding the ball and add in the fact that he has great hands. He displays great footwork in the paint and can get even better at it in the NBA. Now for the shocker, he is a great free throw shooter at 80 percent.
Cons
One knock on Stone that was leaked out to the public is his maturity level is terrible at best. It was said by many that he developed bad practice habits during his time at Maryland. Another problem is that Stone does not do the fundamental things in many situations. He tends to not box out well and falls asleep on both sides of the floor often. These things can be coached out of him but they are still bad signs. Stone could also lose a few pounds and get into better shape as well.

Who Should The Hornets Pick?
Looking back on the 2015-2016 Charlotte Hornets, I say that their number one weakness was rim protection. There are two really good choices to improve that area in the draft this year who could be there at the 22nd pick.
Next: Should the Hornets Trade For Noel or Okafor?
Those two choices are Brice Johnson and AJ Hammons. Both of these guys could turn into great depth players who could fill in as starters when the time comes. Either one of these guys will improve the team going forward. Go Hornets!
