Even with some changes this offseason, the Charlotte Hornets’ starting line-up for the upcoming season should resemble that of last year’s team.
The Charlotte Hornets have been busy this summer as they have made moves in free agency but those moves haven’t changed the plans for next season. The team’s starting lineup is almost assuredly set for next season barring an unexpected trade. The lineup will resemble that of last seasons’ but with a few changes.

The plan for head coach, Steve Clifford, last year was to start Nicolas Batum alongside Michael Kidd-Gilchrist but injuries to MKG put a halt to those plans. Unfortunately, that combination did not get much game time together last season. Having MKG healthy is the plan going forward for this year.
With a fully healthy roster to start the 2016-2017 season, the Hornets should have one of the top starting lineup in the Eastern Conference this year. They were already a top-six team in the East last season, so with MKG’s return and a few new pieces, the team should see similar success.
The Charlotte Hornets lost key pieces Jeremy Lin, Courtney Lee, Al Jefferson, and Troy Daniels in free agency this year. But they also signed Ramon Sessions and Roy Hibbert this summer.
