Small Forward: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

Age: 22 (9/26/1993)
2015-2016 Shooting Stats: 54.1%/ 42.9%/ 69.0%
2015-2016 Averages: 12.7 PPG, 1.3 APG, 6.4 RPG, 29.3 MPG
Accomplishments: All-Rookie Second Team (2012-13)

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is coming off of a disappointing season that only saw him appear in seven games due to multiple injuries. He suffered a torn labrum on two separate occasions on the same shoulder. He was set to be the starting small forward last season but injuries derailed those plans.

With MKG finally fully healthy to start the 2016-2017 season, the Charlotte Hornets’ starting lineup will have a new look and style with him in it. He brings a defensive edge as one of the top perimeter defenders in the NBA. His improved shot should also help his offensive game as he looks to spread the floor more as his game develops.

Having MKG alongside Batum is the starting lineup is what coach Clifford and the organization envisioned when they first brought Nic to the team. Kidd-Gilchrist will be looking to have a bounce back season as he will try to remain healthy. He is still young with a lot of talent and room to grow.
