4. Is there a move that you would like to see the team make later this season?

Deshawn White: The biggest move is possibly trying to get a taker on the Spencer Hawes sweepstakes. He’s a good guy, but we need wiggle room financially.

Max Teddy: I’d like to see Charlotte pick up a true small forward at some point if a quality guy becomes available. Right now, it seems that Kidd-Gilchrist’s only quality backups are Marco Belinelli and Jeremy Lamb, who probably fit more at the 2 than at the 3. If we can find a consistent perimeter threat who can also play quality defense (like Courtney Lee), the Hornets will be well on their way to a complete roster.

Luke Spencer: I know I heard from an interview with Cho that he said he would like to sign two more players, specifically a wing and a developmental prospect.  He just signed Christian Wood last week, so I imagine he’s still looking for a wing more than likely via trade as the free agent market at this point is quite bare.  Besides Jeremy Lamb, the Hornets lack a truly reliable back-up small forward for MKG and will need to scavenge to find someone capable enough of playing significant minutes.  However, Cho will probably have to wait until February to get a quality wing player, as he did with Courtney Lee this past season. If not, Lance Stephenson is still waiting for a phone call (shudder).

Laieke Abebe: The Hornets have to find a taker for Spencer Hawes contract as the trade deadline approaches this coming season. It’s not because Hawes isn’t able to produce but the Hornets have to have some stability cap wise going into the next offseason (which is sure to be even bigger than this offseason). Also, if Jeremy Lamb doesn’t play well, he could be a part of a package with Hawes. Who knows, maybe this will be the summer that the Charlotte Hornets are a part of a blockbuster trade in a very big way.

Jerry Stephens: I would love to see Rich Cho go out and get Greg Monroe. Or a similarly skilled big man from another team. If the Hornets could move Jeremy Lamb and Spencer Hawes this season for a valuable big man, then they could become an instant contender in the Eastern Conference. The Milwaukee Bucks have Monroe on the trade block and a combination of Lamb, Hawes, and maybe Cody Zeller could get a deal done. I think he would be the perfect fit in Charlotte.
