Top-10 Players in Charlotte Hornets History
1. Dell Curry
Shooting Guard – 1988-1998 – 14.0 PPG, 2.9 RPG, 2.0 APG, 1.1 SPG
Here he is, The Greatest Charlotte Hornets’ player of All-Time. While Dell Curry is most likely known for being the father to Stephen Curry these days, he will always be remembered in Charlotte as one of the best players to ever wear the purple and teal. He spent 10 seasons with the Hornets.
Dell Curry is the Hornets’ all-time leader in points scored (9,839), second in minutes played (17,613, and eighth in assists (1,429). He is the only Charlotte player to ever win the Sixth Man of the Year award when he was named the winner in 1994. He is near the top of the list in almost every statistical category for the team as he is seventh in rebounds and third in steals. He also missed the most field goals in team history.

All of these players were great at one time or another for the Charlotte Hornets but there is no denying that Dell Curry is the greatest player of all-time for the team. Kemba Walker will surely move up the list throughout his career. There were some great players who only spent a few short seasons with the team. If they would’ve stayed for longer like Bogues and Curry did, they could’ve been higher up on the list.
