Shooting Guard: Nicolas Batum

The 6’8 small forward enjoyed a great season under Steve Clifford last year. After making the move to Charlotte last offseason, Nic had a career year with the Hornets as he played in a more prominent role. That boost in production should lead to a boost in his 2K rating.

Batum’s rating in 2K16 finished at 80 overall by the end of the year. That seemed a bit low for the amount of all-around production that he was putting out for the team. There is no question that he is the second best player on the Hornets and after signing a big deal this summer, his rating should go up.

Even though Nicolas was positioned as a small forward in last year’s game, he should be listed as a shooting guard this year as MKG will play the three. Batum was a top-20 small forward in 2K16 and should be a top-10 shooting guard this season. His rating should reflect the breakout year that he had and the continued success that he will have this season.

2K17 Predicted Rating: 82
