Bench Unit:

Ramon Sessions

After finishing with a 75 overall rating last season, Sessions will likely be around the same this year. He had a decent season with the Washington Wizards last year but should be better with the Hornets now that he has returned to Charlotte. I wouldn’t be surprised if his rating saw a boost through the season.

2K17 Predicted Rating: 75

Jeremy Lamb

Jeremy Lamb launched himself onto the scene at the start of 2015 but he disappeared by the end of the season. He was put in the dog house by Steve Clifford and was relegated to the end of the bench. While he does have plenty of talent, his 76 rating from 2K16 should see a bit of a drop this year.

2K17 Predicted Rating: 74

Marco Belinelli

Belinelli will be looking to have a successful first season in Charlotte after being traded from Sacramento this summer. While he has been a great shooter throughout his career, Marco had a disappointing year with the Kings. His 73 overall rating from last year should see a bit of a drop in 2K17.

2K17 Predicted Rating: 72

Frank Kaminsky

Frank “The Tank” Kaminsky had a surprising rookie season that not many expected after all of the criticism towards his draft selection. After a decent rookie campaign, his 72 rating should get a slight boost as he showcased his shooting ability last year. His breakout games in the playoffs should also help boost his rating a bit.

2K17 Predicted Rating: 74

Roy Hibbert

Hibbert had a career worst season with the dumpster fire that was the Los Angeles Lakers last season. That will surely hurt his overall rating this year. Roy finished with a 73 rating in 2K16 but even that seemed too high after his disappointing season.

2K17 Predicted Rating: 71

Aaron Harrison:

Harrison will be entering his second season with the Charlotte Hornets and in the NBA this year. His 65 overall rating in 2K16 was the lowest on the team and that may not change in 2K17. He will see a slight boost in his rating but after not getting much playing time, it is hard to see a big jump.

2K17 Predicted Rating: 67

Spencer Hawes:

Spencer Hawes enjoyed a nice season as the back-up center for the Hornets last year. I doubt that he will get a boost in his 72 rating. He may actually see some regression as he will likely have a smaller role and get less minutes in the 2016 campaign.

2K17 Predicted Rating: 70

Next: Roy Hibbert, Under the Microscope

Brian Roberts:

Brain Roberts makes his return to the Charlotte Hornets after being traded away from the team last year. He will be the third string point guard and won’t likely get much playing time in his limited role. His 71 overall rating from last season should go down as it will take somewhat of a major hit.

2K17 Predicted Rating: 68
