1. Hornets Grab Their First Playoff Win Since 2002

April 23rd, 2016

The Charlotte Hornets made the playoffs for their third time since 2002 last year. In their two previous trips, they had been swept in four games. Their losing streak in the postseason spanned 12 total games. They were finally able to break the streak as they defeated the Miami Heat in Game Three of their first-round matchup. They may not have won the series but the victory in game three was a defining moment in 2016 for the franchise. This was the biggest moment of the past year for the Charlotte Hornets.

After losing to the Nets in the 2002 Conference Semifinals, the Hornets struggled to not only get a postseason win but even return to the NBA playoffs. Last season’s team was special and this so was this win. Relive Game 3 in all it’s glory.
