Welcome to Buzz City Beat, a daily roundup of the latest and greatest news and stories from around the web about the Charlotte Hornets.

In their second to last game of the season, the Charlotte Hornets will take on the Milwaukee Bucks for the third and final time this year. In this edition of Buzz City Beat, we look at Marvin Williams being one of the worst power forward’s in the NBA, Rich Cho being one of the worst general managers and Kemba Walker being amazing in clutch situations.

Marvin Williams Not a Top-25 Power Forward (BleacherReport.com)

"Marvin Williams still hasn’t provided a solid encore to last season’s sparkling numbers, but his shot is at least trending in the right direction… at least it’s high enough that he’s no longer acting as a detrimental presence for the Charlotte Hornets offense."

Bleacher Report ranked Marvin as the 27th best power forward in the league this season. Williams has not lived up to the big contract that he signed last summer. He’s underperforming considering that he’s being paid the 16th most of any power forward in the NBA and the third most on the Hornets (before they traded for Miles Plumlee).

Charlotte’s struggles aren’t because of Marvin’s poor play but his regression has hurt the team a bit. There are plenty of positions where the Hornets need to improve and the power forward spot is one of them.

Is Rich Cho One of the Worst GM’s in the NBA? (TheSportsPost.com)

"Rich Cho isn’t the 21st best GM in basketball so much as he’s not one of the nine worst. He’s the most forgettable executive in the league. He just isn’t so aggressively bad that he gets lumped in with the losers beneath him."

Cho’s tenure in Charlotte hasn’t been great. With the continually poor draft selections coupled with the Miles Plumlee trade this season, his time with the Hornets could be winding down. Getting Nicolas Batum was one of the best moves he’s made in recent years but unless this team makes the playoffs next season, Rich will be on an extremely hot seat.

While the Hornets aren’t on the same level as the Sacramento Kings or the New York Knicks in terms of incompetence, patience is still wearing thin with Cho. This will be an important offseason for not only Charlotte but also for Rich as he tries to secure his job going forward.

Kemba Walker is CLUTCH! (Twitter/ Max Seng)

"Under 2:00 left and game +/- 5: Russell Westbrook 41/99 .475 eFG%, Kemba Walker 25/58 .569 eFG%, James Harden 12/41 .354 eFG%"

Kardiac Kemba has lived up to his name this season by being super efficient in clutch situations. Looking at these numbers, it shows that Walker is actually better late in close games than both of the leading MVP candidates. This is pretty surprising, to say the least. Unfortunately, his clutch play has not resulted in wins for the Charlotte Hornets.
