Buzz City Beat is Swarm and Sting’s one stop for the best articles from around the internet surrounding the Charlotte Hornets.

The Utah Jazz was knocked out of the playoffs after being swept by the Golden State Warriors in the semifinals. In this edition of Buzz City Beat, we look at Ramon Sessions thinks the Charlotte Hornets will be alright next season, if Justin Patton is the right pick for the team and Frank Kaminsky serving as a guest analyst for the upcoming Draft Combine.

Sessions Believes the Hornets will Bounce Back Next Year (NBA.com)

"Obviously, this wasn’t the plan, to be speaking this early in April, you know talking to you guys. But we have a great locker room, a great coaching staff and guys like to work hard, so we’ll be alright next year.”"

Based on the players coming back next season, Charlotte should be alright going forward. Their entire starting five and four of their five main bench players will return as they are already under contract. The only question mark is the backup point guard spot. With the team likely to decline Ramon’s team option for next year, that leaves an opening in the rotation.

It also means that the Hornets will search hard for a point guard this summer in both the draft and in free agency. Considering that they made the playoffs with most of this group in the 2015-16 season, it isn’t farfetched to believe that they will be back in the postseason next year. As we saw this past season, staying healthy will be a big part of their potential success.

Is Justin Patton the Right Pick for Charlotte? (FanRagSports.com)

"The Creighton standout needs to improve his positional execution as a defender and rebounder. Steve Clifford is one of the best defensive coaches Patton could ask for, so this would be a beneficial draft marriage all the way around."

The closer the draft gets, the more I fall in love with Patton as a member of the Hornets. If they do stay at the 11th pick even after the lottery takes place, Justin will probably be on the board once their selection comes around. The consensus seems to be either Zach Collins or Justin Patton at this point for Charlotte.

If I had to pick one of the two, it would be Patton. He looks to have a bigger upside and he also put up better numbers this past year in college. If the Hornets do go for a big man, another interesting name in the lottery to keep an eye on is Jarrett Allen from Texas.

Frank Kaminsky to Serve as Guest Analyst for Draft Combine (ESPNMediaZone.com)

"NBA player Frank Kaminsky (Charlotte Hornets) will serve as a guest analyst for the ESPN2 telecasts."

Next: Could Charlotte make a trade for PG-13?

Kaminsky will be the only NBA player joining the crew on ESPN 2 for the combine this year. Considering that he is from Illinois, it makes sense that the Hornets’ big man will be in Chicago for this event. Maybe Frank will have a future in broadcasting or as an analyst for a major sports network after his playing career is over.
