To really make an impact at the NBA level, Dorsey will need to improve his finishing and work on his defensive awareness.

The Hornets have already worked out V.J. Beachem, Kadeem Allen, Austin Arians, Jack Gibbs, Przemek Karnowski and Mangok Mathiang. Charlotte’s also scheduled to meet with P.J. Dozier and Derrick White.

Next: Making sense of trade up possibilities

Depending on what direction the Charlotte Hornets want to go in with their second round pick this year, Dorsey could be a viable option at #41. He checks all the boxes of a shooter with upside. Plus, he would be on a relatively cheap contract. Although, he may need a year in the D-League to fully develop into a true role player.
