Buzz City Beat is Swarm and Sting’s one stop for the best articles from around the internet surrounding the Charlotte Hornets.
It was an iconic moment when Frank Kaminsky had his own personal “Tank” chain on when he met rapper 2 Chainz. In this edition of Buzz City Beat, we look at Kemba Walker‘s potential return for the Charlotte Hornets, the Greensboro Swarm’s fifth consecutive defeat and Johnny O’Bryant‘s anime company.

After missing the past two games with a left shoulder AC contusion, it looks like Kemba is on track to play in the Hornets’ next game against the Orlando Magic on Monday, December 4th. The injury originally occurred versus the San Antonio Spurs when Walker’s shoulder ran into LaMarcus Aldridge. Although he returned to that game, he missed the next two outings.
Charlotte’s lost both of the games that their all-star point guard missed. The team is actually 0-5 in their last five games with Kemba dating back to the 2016-17 season. Once Walker comes back to the starting lineup, Michael Carter-Williams will return to the backup PG role while Malik Monk could fall back out of the rotation.
Greensboro Swarm get blown out by the OKC Blue (Gleague.NBA.com)
"The Oklahoma City Blue beat the Greensboro Swarm 110-87"
The Swarm had no answer for OKC’s Bryce Alford (21 points) and Daniel Hamilton (19 points and 11 rebounds). Terry Henderson was Greensboro’s leading scorer with 19 points. Only two other players, Charles Cooke (12 points) and Mangok Mathiang (11 points), reached double-figures for the Hornets’ G-League affiliate as the team’s struggles continue.
Greensboro has now lost five straight and is just 3-9 on the season. They are second to last in the Eastern Conference and the Southeast Division only ahead of the Delaware 87ers who are 2-9. The Swarm currently have the longest losing streak in the G-League. If Dwayne Bacon isn’t going to get any playing time with Charlotte, it may be a worth assigning him to Greensboro for a couple games to get minutes.

"But here, in his other professional life, he’s in charge, the lone big man, both literally and figuratively, as the head of Noir Caesar, his upstart, startup manga publisher and anime studio."
Next: It's time for Charlotte to unleash Malik Monk
Johnny O’Bryant has a true passion for anime and is on a mission to create his own as he has become a self-publisher. He wants to show that “you can put a brown-skin character in anime for a main character.” Credit to the Hornets’ big man for pursuing his off the court dream. A number of athletes have business ventures outside of the NBA but not many of them are going the anime route like JOB has done.
