2. Gerald Wallace– 2007-2008

Stats: 19.5 PPG, 6 RPG, 3.5 APG, 2.1 SPG

Who Got in Over Him? Richard Hamilton

Many of us have amazing memories of Crash as the only Bobcats era player to make the ASG. As a matter of fact ‘09-’10 season wasn’t the only year he should’ve made it.

The ‘07-’08 wasn’t necessarily his best season by any means. He averaged the most PPG for this career, but a fairly low total in RPG and FG% compared to the rest of his prime seasons.

What really proves how much he deserved it was the fact that Rip Hamilton made it. Wallace was literally better in all five major statistical categories. He didn’t shoot as efficiently from the field but we all know that’s not the reason that Rip got the nod over him.

That few groups of guys on the Pistons in the early-mid 2000’s accomplished some great things together and in this case, it seems like his namesake carried him to this ASG selection.

Now onto the one that will come as a surprise to absolutely nobody…
