Buzz City Beat is Swarm and Sting’s one stop for the latest news and stories from around the web about the Charlotte Hornets.

LeBron James will be playing in his eighth straight NBA Finals after the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. In this edition of Buzz City Beat, we look at the Charlotte Hornets adding assistant coach Ronald Nored, a trade idea for DeMar DeRozan and Jeremy Lamb giving back to the community.

Charlotte hires Ronald Nored (Twitter/ @WojESPN)

"Charlotte is hiring Ronald Nored as an assistant coach on James Borrego’s staff, league sources tell ESPN. Nored was Brooklyn’s G-League head coach for the past year."

Ronald is only 28-years old and has been a coach since 2012. He started as a high school coach and has been an assistant with the Maine Red Claws of the G-League, an assistant with the Boston Celtics and an assistant at Northern Kentucky. He spent this past season as the head coach of the Long Island Nets who finished 27-23 this year.

Jeff Van Gundy added Nored to his USA Basketball coaching staff this year. Ronald comes from the Brad Stevens’ coaching tree and also played under him in college at Butler University. Nored joins Jay Triano and Jay Hernandez on James Borrego’s staff.

Trade idea for DeMar DeRozan (FadeawayWorld.com)

"A DeRozan, Walker, Howard big 3 would turn a lot of heads in the Eastern Conference for sure, and perhaps the Hornets could land DeRozan in return for Frank Kaminsky, Nicolas Batum, and the 11th pick of this year’s Draft."

It’s unclear if the Toronto Raptors are going to blow up their roster but if they do, teams will definitely be interested in trading for DeMar DeRozan. He is a four-time all-star and averaged 27.3 points per game in 2016-17. DeMar is one of the top shooting guards in the NBA but that means it would take a blockbuster deal to land him.

I don’t think Kaminsky, Nic Batum and the 11th pick are enough to complete a trade for DeRozan. Batum’s contract alone would probably end any interest on the Raptors’ end. Although, if Charlotte could find a way to complete a deal, a big three of Kemba, DeRozan and Dwight Howard would be a threat in the Eastern Conference.

Jeremy Lamb takes children on shopping spree (WSOCtv.com)

"Charlotte Hornets’ guard Jeremy Lamb took 30 children from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas on a $100 shopping spree Thursday night. The shopping spree was part of Academy Sports + Outdoors’ grand opening in Matthews."

It’s great to see Lamb giving back to the community by letting 30 kids go on a shopping spree. Full credit to the Hornets’ guard for doing this.

Jeremy said that “When I was young, I would pray for opportunities like this, so to be able to do it for others is a great feeling.”

Next: Hornets to workout Chris Chiozza

Lamb also took time to take some pictures with the children. I’m sure it was a great experience for all involved. The Children were part of the BBBS Cent Carolinas.
