Welcome to Buzz City Beat, a daily roundup of the best articles from around the internet surrounding the Charlotte Hornets.

Kemba Walker was spotted at the team’s practice facility putting in work this summer. In this edition of Buzz City Beat, we look at a trade idea involving the Charlotte Hornets and the Philadelphia 76ers while also looking at Dwayne Bacon‘s offseason work and Malik Monk joining the High Five Camp.

"The best asset the Sixers should consider giving up is the No. 10 pick, if not a future pick of their own. Jerryd Bayless — who is also an expiring contract — is an easy solution when it comes to contract filler."

In this trade, Charlotte would receive Jarryd Bayless, the No. 10 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and a future pick in exchange for Kemba Walker. This deal would give Philadelphia an all-star level point guard, at a relatively low cost, to pair with their young core of Ben Simmons, Markelle Fultz, Joel Embiid, Dario Saric and Robert Covington. By adding Walker, the Sixers may be able to compete for an NBA Title as early as next season.

The reason why the Hornets would agree to this trade is that it would allow them to start their rebuild while getting a decent return for Kemba’s expiring contract. They would hold the No. 10 and No. 11 picks in this year’s draft and could either make two lottery selection or package them and try to trade up into the top-5. Bayless’ expiring contract would also be off the books at the end of the season.

"Dwayne Bacon has been putting in some serious work this summer. Just thought you would like to know. #BuzzCity"

Bacon is one Hornets’ player who has been putting in work this offseason. He’s been posting on his Instagram and Snapchat showing some of his workouts and post-workout dunks. Dwayne is looking to continue his development and make even more of an impact with Charlotte during his second year in the league next season.

He’s been busy this summer working on his game and his improvements should show during the Las Vegas Summer League which Bacon is scheduled to play in. The 22-year old will look to improve on an impressive rookie campaign that saw him start in six games for the Hornets which is pretty impressive considering he was a second-round pick. It will be interesting to see how much better he will be in 2018-19.

Malik Monk joins High Five Camp this summer (Kairt8.com)

"The  summer is filled with basketball camps. Most coaches hold their own. But the high five camp brings 5 local high school coaches together. This year, a special treat. An NBA player. Lepanto’s Malik Monk is taking part. June 18th through the 20th at Valley View."

Next: Michael Porter Jr. could fall to Charlotte

Malik Monk will be a part of the High Five basketball camp this offseason which will take place in Jonesboro, Arkansas (his hometown). The Charlotte Hornets’ guard is a popular figure in the area where he grew up and went to high school. This is a great way for him to give back to the community and gives some a great opportunity to meet and interact with Monk.
