C: Willy Hernangomez

Stats: 4 games, 18.3 PPG, 12.0 RPG, 1.8 BPG, 1.8 APG, 50% FG

Strength: Scoring/Rebounding

Hernangomez did about every you could ask for offensively. He scored 18 points a game going along with 12 rebounds a game. Hernangomez is guaranteed a spot on the roster. If his improvement continues then he may be fighting Cody Zeller for the starting job.

Many people were surprised he was playing and knew he would be dominant. Almost nobody would’ve expected a performance like this. I am excited for what the future has in store for Hernangomez.

Weakness: Shooting

I’m going to be honest, I didn’t see many weaknesses from Hernangomez, but there is always room for improvement. He made several mid-range shots and was pretty good at the free throw line. If he could become more consistent with a jumper, then this would be another great trait to his game. He is not a bad shooter, it’s just being more comfortable and practicing would help tremendously.

Next. Who should start at center for Charlotte?. dark

He hasn’t attempted many three-pointers in his career but has made a few. If Hernangomez starts becoming a decent three shooter it would mean all five players on the court could shoot the long ball when necessary. Hernangomez shined this summer and the youngster as a lot in store later on.
