Who is the Charlotte Hornets’ best prospect under 25-years old heading into the 2018-19 season?

The Charlotte Hornets have seven players on their roster who are currently under the age of 25 while Cody Zeller, Bismack Biyombo, and Frank Kaminsky barely missed the cut. As for Miles Bridges, Malik Monk, Arnoldas Kulboka, Devonte’ Graham, Willy Hernangomez, Dwayne Bacon, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, they are all under 25-years old but who has the most potential?

Honorable Mentions:

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (24-years old) – It’s crazy to think that MKG is still only 24-years old as he’s already played six seasons in the NBA. The former No. 2 overall pick back in 2012 has never quite lived up to the hype. His best year came in 2014-15 where he averaged 10.9 PPG and 7.6 RPG.

At this point, it doesn’t look like Kidd-Gilchrist will ever reach the levels that many expected of him coming out of college.

Arnoldas Kulboka (20-years old) – Charlotte selected the Lithuanian international with the 55th overall pick in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft. Although he won’t play with the Hornets this season, he looked promising in limited summer league minutes.

Even though he hasn’t had as much success in the NBA as MKG, he is arguably the more exciting prospect because of the mystery surrounding him as an overseas player. We’ll see if he makes the move stateside next season or in a couple years.
